Nominate Someone Notable

Do you know someone worthy of recognition? We want to know!

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Jewish Museum & Archives of BC, the JMABC is preparing a commemorative book honouring the people and organizations who built our community.

We’re interested to hear about community pioneers, innovators, prominent public figures, as well as past, current, and emerging community leaders.

The people who built the organizations we enjoy today, are laying the foundations for a bright future, or who best exemplify our community’s ideals.

Nominations should be 150 words and contain an overview of the nominee’s biography and accomplishments.

All nominations will be considered by the review committee.

The committee defines a notable person as someone who has been or is:

  • a leader in one or more Jewish or general community organizations or endeavours and widely recognized as such by the community.
  • instrumental in initiating, developing or sustaining organizations and initiatives.
  • recognized as an agent of positive change.
  • recognized for their contribution to philanthropy, the arts, science, social sciences, humanities, activist activities, politics, communications, etc.
  • or an emerging leader in any of the above categories.

Please send all nominations to: info@jewishmuseum.ca
