The JMABC Oral History Collection

There is nothing quite like hearing someone’s life story first-hand. This is the magic of oral history interviews – a quality that is difficult to capture in writing.

Since the late 1960’s, the JMABC has interviewed over 900 members of our community, documenting their lives in their own words. Roughly 40 interviews are added each year.

These interviews form the basis of many JMABC programs, including walking tours and our annual journal, The Scribe.
