Film Launch: Crackin’ Out
The rodeos of the BC interior in the late-1970s were populated with people full of life and mischief. Photographer Ronnie Tessler captured these events and the communities surrounding them in a series of stunning photographs.
Forty years later, filmmaker Sarah Genge revisited this collection, inviting responses from rodeo riders, community members, curators, and Tessler herself. This documentary explores how rodeo culture in B.C. existed at the time and how it continues to exist.
Join us for a screening of this film, followed by a conversation between Genge and Tessler.
