The JMABC is thrilled to announce that we and our partners in the Cross Cultural Strathcona Walking Tour Working Group have been awarded an Award of Merit for Excellence in Community Engagement from the BC Museums Association.

This award is a tremendous honour and we deeply appreciate this recognition by our colleagues. Each year, inspiring and innovative museum programs from across the province are nominated for this award, and this year was no exception.

We’d like to extend appreciation to our seventeen community partners in the Cross Cultural Strathcona Walking Tour Working Group with whom we share this award. We look forward to working with them over the coming months as we prepare the 2020 series of Cross Cultural Walking Tours.
