You Can’t Spell Delicious Without Deli explores the stories of five beloved delis that once served as gathering places for generations of both Jewish and non-Jewish diners in Vancouver. Each of the featured delis is represents its own unique world where recipes carry history, flavours spark nostalgia, and a shared gastronomic culture is anchored by communal memory.

While only two of the iconic delis featured remain open today, the influence of Vancouver’s historic delis and the people who formed them endures. Come hungry for history — leave with the lasting flavours of cultural resilience and tradition that continue to shape cultural identity and belonging Vancouver’s Jewish community.
