The Jewish Museum and Archives is pleased to announce the establishment of a new history research prize for works of scholarship and public history projects making substantial use of the BC Jewish Community Archives.

Such works can include but are not limited to: a published or unpublished essay of up to 10,000 words, an exhibit (either online or physical), or a documentary film. All entries must have been produced in the year preceding the submissions deadline.

This competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and independent scholars.

All submissions will be reviewed and winners selected by an anonymous jury with relevant expertise.

If there are no worthy submissions in a given year, no prize will be rewarded. If this occurs, it is possible two prizes will be awarded in a subsequent year.

Submission Deadline: September 30, 2018
Winning Submission Announced at the JMABC AGM: November 21, 2018
