Sponsorship Opportunities

All JMABC programs are made possible through the generous support of our members and donors. In the coming year, we will be embarking on many exciting programs. Sponsoring a JMABC program is a unique opportunity to increase awareness of your organization while helping to preserve the history of Jews in BC. To learn more, please contact Michael Schwartz, Director of Community Engagement at: mschwartz@jewishmuseum.ca

East End Stories

East End Stories is a new initiative presenting our community history both physically and online. The project will be anchored in the historically vital neighbourhood of Strathcona, in Vancouver, where the city’s Jewish community first flowered. Information panels throughout Strathcona will be linked to videos online, providing deeper information about the sites and people featured.

6 panels at $1,000 per panel.

The Southern Africa Diaspora Oral History Project

This initiative seeks to create a comprehensive record of the lives of Jewish Southern African expatriates now living in British Columbia. Over the coming decade, the JMABC will interview as many as possible of the over 1,000 members of this sub-community, documenting their experience prior to arriving in Canada, and the contributions they have made in the years since.
$8,000 per year.

Digital Storage Upgrades

The BC Jewish Community Archives are growing at a tremendous clip, and thousands of new archival items are being digitized each month. This is wonderful news, but also means that our digital storage needs are quickly reaching the limits of the space currently available. To accommodate this impressive activity it will be necessary this year to upgrade our Archives drive to a larger capacity drive. You can help us accomplish this and allow the Archives to continue growing at this incredible pace.

$3,000 for materials and labour.
